The Lake of
the Ozarks has over 1,300 miles of shoreline on which
homes can be built or purchased.
The State
Park in the area preserves for all generations, a place
of the natural beauty of the foliage and scenery and
is the largest state park in Missouri, 16,872 acres
with 89 miles of shoreline.

by 6,500' concrete air strip and has 143,000 lbs. of
permanent strength.
From 1978
to 1987, revenue from state sales tax in Missouri increased
25%. In the Lake Area, it increased by 75% indicating
visible economic growth in consumer spending and on
expanding retail trade industry.

In a corridor
from Jefferson City through the Lake area and into Lebanon,
there are now over 50,000 permanent residents age 55
and over.
In Camden,
Miller & Morgan Counties, the percentage of permanent
residents age 65 and over total 17.5% of the population
and is growing.
An average
of 33 doctors licensed in 1984 in Camden, Miller &
Morgan Counties.
The 90 bed
hospital in Osage Beach is one of a total of 22 level
two trauma centers in the state. The hospital
has helicopter services for emergencies to Columbia's
University Hospital. Licensed ambulance services
are available 24 hours a day in Camden, Miller, and
Morgan Counties.
